Join us for a performance inspired by Leonard Bernstein’s educational concerts, which explores the connections between Latin American music and orchestral repertoire, including Bernstein’s own work. This vibrant musical evening is filled with dance-inspired rhythms and unique instrumentation. Like Bernstein’s educational concerts, this performance includes engaging music, audience participation, and fascinating insights into the works. The program, conducted by Tiffany Lu, includes Louis Moreau Gottschalk’s A Night in the Tropics and Bernstein’s West Side Story Overture, performed with special guests the Children’s Chorus of Washington.
Suitable for all ages.
